Alycia Baumgardner beats Bo Mi Re Shin to retain unified junior lightweight titles before calling out Katie Taylor and dismissing Caroline Dubois

Alycia Baumgardner retained her unified junior lightweight titles via unanimous decision over the determined Bo Mi Re Shin but she's already targeting Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano.

The American was the clear favourite against Shin and took that confidence into the fight from the bell.

It was by no means easy, as Shin fought back hard in rounds six and seven to challenge Baumgardner, but she just couldn't land as much of what she was throwing.

Baumgardner won the fight 98-92, 98-92, 99-91 but her five-year knockout drought continues despite taking her record to 18 wins and one loss.

"Listen, three minutes, 10 rounds, on my period, baby stop playing with me," Baumgardner said after the fight.

"I'm feeling comfortable, it's an adjustment every time, three minutes is a long time so I'm still learning and growing.

"I don't know everything and I'm okay with that. You just go back and keep getting better."

But Baumgardner isn't one to shy away from a big fight as she has her eyes set on who she does, and doesn't, want to step up against next.

"Katie Taylor, Amanda Serrano, what's up," she added, before dismissing Caroline Dubois .

"I'm a piranha, that's [Caroline Dubois] a guppy, get her out of here," Baumgardner said.

If a fight with Taylor were to happen, it would be soon, as talks of the Irishwoman's farewell fight - which she hopes will be at Croke Park - are underway.

The biggest upset of the night came when Lani Daniels won via knockout in the ninth round against Shadasia Green, with the former IBF and WBO super middleweight champion having to be taken away on a stretcher.

Green had landed heavy punches the eight rounds prior, and looked to be progressing well towards a win, but by the end of the eighth round she looked to be running on empty.

She made it to the bell but Daniels came out firing in the next round, landing a barrage of shots before the referee, Eric Dalo, was forced to step in at 0:32, awarding Daniels a TKO victory to become the new IBF, WBO, and Ring super middleweight champion and a three-division world champion.

Having barely left her corner before taking a flurry of hits and the fight being ended, the former champion was promptly stretchered off after wincing in pain after the fight and appearing to struggle to stand.

Green was taken to hospital for testing, while Daniels wished her well in a post-fight interview before thanking her global supporters.
